Fall 2022 Book News: NEW RELEASE! And more…

Amazon links below!

I need to work on getting a regular quarterly newsletter or something going because I realized it’s been a loooong time since I sent a blog update!

First, I have a NEW RELEASE in a NEW series in a NEW genre under a NEW pen name: Do I Look Amused?: A For Your Amusement Sweet Romantic Comedy by Lizzy James! They’re clean and sweet romance with clean humor and real-world, modern events, references, and challenges. Even though these books will not contain any Bible verses (probably) or be explicitly Christian, I can’t help but thread subtle Christian themes and acts through the stories. It’s who I am. I just wanted to write something light and fun that didn’t dwell on heavy moral dilemmas and that might have a broader appeal. *There’s a method to this madness!*

Second, I now have 3 young adult science fiction books out in the Maripi Moon Series: Caparina, The Fifth Directive, and Dragon Hunter.

As for my Christian historical romance, I have the three original Tales of Harriford Grange books available in one Complete Edition. I also have the next generation of Harriford Grange available in The Curse of Bayne Hall and Other Stories.

In addition, I have two historical fiction and contemporary spy romance books available super cheap on Amazon. They were stories I had on a platform called Kindle Vella that were not doing well. They are: the novel-sized Julie O’Malley & Skye Tierney: Super Spies & Secret Agents! and booklet-sized Tales of Blaketon Commons: A Companion to Tales of Harriford Grange.

As for news and future plans, I’m working on the final installment of Harriford Grange, Rosewood Manor, Harriford Grange at War. It covers the years 1940-1945, or World War II. It’s much more research-heavy, but as I’ve been drawn to WWII history since we first studied it in fifth grade, I’m really enjoying myself. I hope to have this book available by V-E Day 2023 (May 8, 2023). I’m not sure if I will take a break to work on the second in my new series, as I sometimes need a break from the heaviness of war history research, but it is a possibility. After these two books are published, I plan to work on the 4th in the Maripi Moon series since some of you have been asking me about that.

I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to read this impromtu newsletter. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reply! I love to hear from my friends and readers. If you’re on Instagram or Facebook, consider following me @authorelizabethjsmith as I’m much better at keeping those sites updated. I also share lots of fun things on there that aren’t on my website.
