Glancing Back and Looking Forward

As I sit here during the last little bit of my daughter’s Christmas afternoon nap, with my husband and mom occupied in their different quiet activities, I find myself close to happy tears. This year has been so crazy for everyone, but for us, it has been one of the best ones. How many can say that about 2020???

Little did we know that we would bring our sweet little girl home only days before our state shut down with Covid. She has changed our lives completely – for the better – and has brought her own special light into every day. Her smile lights up a room, and we feel so very blessed to have been chosen to be her parents.

I’m looking forward to seeing her grow and develop this next year. She’ll be learning to walk, talk, and get into everything (eek!). She’ll keep wiggling her way deeper and deeper into our hearts. And hopefully, we’ll be able to take her out more to see all the wonders God’s placed in our world.

Next, I’m so thankful that my plans to start publishing my work have come through so smoothly and so bountifully. I am so grateful to my husband and my friends Leah and Amy who have set aside their own interests time and again to spend time looking over my many edits, media items, and random emails and texts. I’m thankful to those who purchased my books and shared them with others. You have all overwhelmed me with your kind words and compliments. I was trying to fill a gap I saw in Christian literature, but I had no idea how many others were missing the same things as I was.

Quickly now, before she wakes up, I want to share with you my plans for 2021. Lord willing, here is what I have planned:

To be published:
-Tales of Harriford Grange, Volume 3: A Change of Heart (Winter 2021 – around Valentine’s Day)
-Maripi Moon, Book 1 – Late Summer 2021 (more details coming after Volume 3 is released)

Working on:
-Finishing another trip to Harriford Grange but in a different genre…any guesses?
-Finishing Maripi Moon, Book 3 – yes, you read that right. Book 2 is written, and I plan to release it in 2022.
-Research and planning for another trip to Harriford Grange but different once again…you’ll never guess
-Continuing my unfinished modern mystery series #1
-More YouTube videos, podcasts, tutorials, etc.

Looking forward to:
-More book events
-Hopefully getting my books in more stores

If you would like to weigh in on any of these plans, I’d love to hear from you. I love to talk books and writing, hear from my readers, and see what you have to say. If you have any questions about my books, writing, self-publishing, or such like, feel free to ask. Helping others achieve their literary goals is something I enjoy. God gave me the heart of a teacher, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned.
